The truth about this myth is that you should just not overindulge in carbs, but there is nothing wrong or harmful for your health about eating carbohydrates.
Myth #2: Fats are bad for you
Many people think that eating fat means gaining fat and that the typical way of losing weight has been linked to being in a low-fat diet. So far, trans fat is the only type of fat that has been ranked to harm your health. Nowadays, fat is a way of losing weight; ketogenic diet is the new trending diet in which you must eat high-fat foods and limit your carb intake to lose weight. However, you still have to watch your calories and not over consume the same amount of fat. The truth is that a low-fat diet won’t help you lose weight, and your body will always need all the benefits that good fats have.
Myth #3: Bread is bad for you
Bread has always been seen as the worst carbohydrate for people who want to lose weight. People think bread will make them fat and because it contains gluten, it is bad for them. Bread is certainly dense in calories and easy to overeat, and people usually try to avoid it because of its gluten content. Most bread is made with refined flour, which is high in sugars that will make your insulin levels spike. For that reason, is always recommended to have whole-wheat bread instead, but white bread and whole-wheat bread have a similar number of calories. The only difference is that whole-wheat bread has a lower glycemic and insulin index. In the end, the truth is that bread won’t make you fat unless your consumption of it is very high.
